Sanden Corporation (Headquarters: Isesaki, Gunma, Japan) has won its first business for the newly developed high-capacity PX compressor “Large PX (180cc)” from a major European OEM. Mass production is scheduled to begin in 2028, marking Sanden’s first production program in the high-capacity PX segment. This project marks an important step in entering the high-capacity market.

・Market Background

In recent years, the automotive industry has seen advances in electrification, tightening environmental regulations, and increasing vehicle power output, leading to a growing importance of thermal management. In particular, in high-load applications such as commercial vehicles, construction machinery, and large HVAC systems, there is a need to achieve both stable cooling performance and high energy efficiency, and demand for high-capacity compressors is expected to expand.

This product was developed to address these high-load applications, and this project also responds to demand in this segment.

・Product Features and Reasons for Selection

This product achieves approximately 10% higher Capacity (180cc) compared with its conventional PX compressors, enabling application in high-load and high-capacity segments. In addition, by leveraging existing design assets, development lead time has been reduced and cost competitiveness has been enhanced without relying on entirely new designs. This project was awarded in recognition of its ability to achieve both high-capacity performance and a balance of short lead time and cost competitiveness.

At this stage, the impact of this project on consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending December 2026 is expected to be limited.
