Sanden Europe is proud to announce the publication of its first Sustainability Report, marking an important milestone in the company’s sustainability journey and commitment to transparent and responsible business practices. The report is aligned with the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and provides comprehensive insights into Sanden Europe’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, strategy and future ambitions.

As a leading provider of thermal management solutions for the automotive industry, Sanden Europe recognises sustainability as an important driver of long-term resilience, innovation and value creation. The report shows how the company is advancing its sustainability priorities across its European locations.

Maria Wünsch-Guaraldi, CEO and Managing Director of Sanden International Europe GmbH, comments:

“Operating in Europe means taking responsibility for our environment, our people and our value chain. Sustainability is a core element of how Sanden Europe creates long-term value, and with this first CSRD-aligned report, we take an important step toward transparency and accountability.”

Key highlights from the 2025 Sustainability Report

The report outlines Sanden Europe’s sustainability strategy, built around three pillars: Sustainable Products, Sustainable Supply Chain and Sustainable Facilities.

A Milestone for Europe and the Global Organisation

The Sustainability Report demonstrates Sanden Europe’s commitment to supporting customers, employees, suppliers and business partners in navigating the challenges and opportunities of the transition towards a more sustainable economy. Sustainability is not viewed merely as a compliance requirement, but as an important driver of innovation, competitiveness and trust. As the pilot for CSRD reporting within the Sanden Group, Sanden Europe has established a foundation for future global sustainability reporting, supporting greater consistency, transparency and efficiency across the organisation. The insights and reporting processes developed through this work will help monitor progress, strengthen accountability and guide future sustainability action across the company’s operations and value chain.

“Leading the development of our first Sustainability Report at European level was a truly collaborative effort across functions and locations. Together, we translated CSRD principles into practical reporting processes and established a strong foundation for continuous improvement. I am proud of what we have achieved and look forward to using this experience to strengthen sustainability performance and support more consistent reporting across the Sanden Group.” – Anna-Lena Pernkopf, Sustainability Lead, Europe Region
